Fischer-Tropsch Wax (F-T Wax)
Fischer-Tropsch (F-T) wax is a high-purity synthetic wax produced from coal or natural gas via the Fischer-Tropsch process. Compared with natural paraffin, it offers a narrower molecular-weight distribution, higher hardness and better thermal stability. Heyee Chem maintains ample annual capacity and provides a complete grade matrix from general-purpose to high-melting-point grades, suitable for plastic processing, masterbatch, hot-melt adhesives, inks and coatings.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is the difference between FT wax and PE wax?
FT wax is a straight-chain alkane wax synthesized from coal or natural gas; it has a narrower molecular-weight distribution, higher hardness and better thermal stability. PE wax is obtained by cracking or polymerization of polyethylene and is more focused on lubrication and dispersion. Heyee Chem can recommend a grade based on your application (PVC lubrication leans toward FT wax, while masterbatch dispersion can use either).
What role does FT wax play in PVC?
Mainly as an external lubricant, it reduces friction between the melt and processing equipment and improves extrusion uniformity. High-melting grades (e.g. HY-115) suit high-temperature, high-speed extrusion.
How to choose the FT wax melting point?
It depends on the processing temperature: masterbatch/candles 80–100°C; PVC profiles and pipes under high-temp extrusion 100–115°C; rubber release and other low-temp systems 60–70°C.
What is the price of FT wax per ton?
It fluctuates with crude oil/coal feedstock and grade. The FOB Qingdao quotation must be confirmed by specific grade and quantity. Please contact our sales team for a real-time quote.
